Services provided by the Portland Printer Place include repair for most major brands, consultation on printer choice, managed services, supply fulfillment, and new technology exploration.

Service Rates

On Site Repairs:

• $88.00 / hr. w/ minimum of $88.00
• $88.00 per hr.  Travel time one way
• Billed in quarter hour increments
• Plus $.50 cents per mile.  (One way up to 30 miles).
• If over 30 miles, round trip is charged
• Payment is required upon completion of the service visit, (except Open Account Customers with valid Purchase Orders or verbal approval from a client authorized purchaser).
• Priority service $132.00 /hr.
• Regular Office Hours 9 AM to 5 PM
• Before or after hours (by appointment only) at $176.00/hr.
• We generally provide same day/next business day response for our on-site service clients.

In Shop Repairs: CHANGE IN BOLD

• $88.00 per hour with a $66.00 minimum for all checked in printers
• The charge to prepare an estimate is $45.00. THIS AMOUNT MUST BE PAID AT THE TIME OF CHECKING THE PRINTER INTO THE SHOP. (IF YOU HAVE AN OPEN ACCOUNT WITH THE PORTLAND PRINTER PLACE, YOUR ESTIMATE FEE MAY BE BILLED.)
• If the estimate is accepted and we are asked to perform the work, the fee for the preparation of the estimate is included in quote for the work and is not billed a second time.
• Priority service $132.00 per hour.  This moves the priority device ahead of those waiting in the service queue.
• All printers are checked in and dated.  The work is performed, generally, in the order upon which they are received.  Our service shop generally takes two to three business days before a device is first assessed.  The time frame for these services may vary.  If your device is critical to the operation of your business, call first to determine the current wait time.  If you are unable to be without your device for the amount of time it would take for the repair, it is probably appropriate to purchase a backup device.

3. Customers under manufacturers’ On-site Warranty
   
4. Call-in Customers for On-site

Sales Consultation:
Our sales consultation is generally a free service with the expectation that we have an opportunity to interest a potential client in one of the products we consult about. Consultation without establishing a vendor/client relationship is a billable service.

Managed Services:           
In our capacity as a reseller for Okidata, we provide printer fleet/printing cost assessments.  Prices range from a free service for minimal assessments, to full site surveys, asset tagging and sophisticated analysis.  The higher levels of Managed Services are performed on a per quote basis.

Supply Fulfillment:           
We provide supply fulfillment for a variety of customers for output devices from office copiers to printers.  Please contact a sales person for details on how we can help you save time and money and help you run your business more efficiently.

New Technologies Exploration
Technologies such as RFID are coming into greater prevalence in the market with intriguing applications for a variety of business uses.  Check with us if you have a project you would like to explore.

If the product you have is not on the list, please check with us on service availability

*HP entry-level products such as the DeskJet and OfficeJet products offer limited options for repair.  HP provides no repair documentation, training, or parts for these products, so repairs are limited to such things as jam clearing and part reattachment.  The cost effectiveness of working on these products should be discussed with our staff before bringing these products to us for repair.  HP’s Business Inkjet products and other more business-targeted products are serviceable.

***Some Dell printers share chassis with similar Lexmark printers.  We can repair these products when the Dell printers share common parts with the similar Lexmark printers.  Circuit boards, and some other components that are unique to Dell are currently unavailable to us.  These repairs must be arranged through Dell.
